Are you looking to: UNLEARN toxic diet culture messages that value body weight over health and wellness. CHALLENGE toxic messages that make you fear food, obsess over the number on the scale and feel guilty about all of our food choices. LEARN to give yourself unconditional permission to eat all foods without fear, to enjoy food, to take care of yourself and put your needs first. CHOOSE foods and activities from a place of self-care, not self-control. Working together: We’ll identify what is causing your Eating Disorder Eliminate unnecessary emotional stressors in your personal life-your home-your work and learn new coping mechanisms for those that cannot be eliminated. Identify and work with short and long-term goals Draw reasonable action plans and accompany them with a follow-up. You will: Replace emotional eating with new, more effective tools to relieve stress, anger, boredom, loneliness, etc. Identify and eliminate the barriers that have kept you blocked. Stabilize your eating patterns Learn to listen to your body’s wants and needs Reduce distress related to your relationship with food and your body Learn to prepare appropriate meals and snacks What you get: 45-60 minute sessions Sessions will be weekly, bi-weekly (depending on your needs) Sessions can be done in person if you live in Connecticut, USA, or via phone or Zoom Email support between sessions for when you feel stuck or just need encouragement Selected Tools, Worksheets, and Reflection Tips Sign up for a free initial consultation to continue chatting about how I can help you get rid of your eating disorder and transform your life.
